Your fears and expectations regarding labor
Your prenatal consultations need to be more than just routine exams.
As part of the preparation process for childbirth, both you and I need to talk about your fears and expectations regarding labor.
Some fears may be more predictable and common, such as pain, interventions, and the well-being of the baby…
But you have your own story and your own baggage, and you may bring up situations and concerns that we can address once we have the chance to discuss them.
Your expectations should be individualized and clarified.
I always say medicine is not an exact science. We should plan for every possible scenario so that we can work together to get as close as possible to what you desire.
Feeding yourself with information helps you prepare emotionally for your birth.
What do you think is most important for us to discuss during prenatal care?
Did you feel like something specific was missing in any of your consultations?
